Community Mindfulness and Yoga Workshop

  • JeKa Wellness 512 Main Street South Kingstown, RI, 02879 United States (map)

Have you noticed that your mood may be shifting following seasonal changes? Do you find yourself making fewer plans with others, or seeing less of your neighbors and friends while spending more time indoors? Are you looking for additional ways to cope with everyday stressors or looking to reconnect with others? Or are you looking to enhance your current wellness practices? Many of us experience a dip in our moods or feel a little less social with the change in the weather and less of that sunlight.

Mindfulness meditation enhances our ability to sit with feelings and thoughts associated with everyday stressors and may allow us to feel more connected with those around us. Combining mindfulness meditation with movement and opportunities for stillness, which yoga allows, may offer you opportunities for connection and enhancing positive ways to cope. Connecting with others and developing positive ways to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings are beneficial for mental health and wellness.

Join fellow community members on Tuesday, February 28th 6PM for Yoga and a guided Loving Kindness mindfulness meditation. Following the meditation will be an opportunity for Q & A and mindfulness instruction.

There is no cost for this workshop but we will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Jonnycake Center For Hope.
