Owner, Massage Therapist
Katherine has found her true calling in massage therapy and has been providing massages to South County residents for almost 20 years. She believes in treating her clients holistically by making a positive difference in their lives. Her love for her work is rewarded when clients say how much better they feel post-treatment. Specializing in deep tissue, sports massage, and trigger point therapy, Katherine is certified in: Deep Tissue/Sports/Swedish/Shiatsu/Prenatal Massage, Myofascial Release and Cupping Therapy. Katherine is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Katherine is a mother of two children and enjoys planning adventures for her family. She integrates balance and wellness into her life by eating healthy, running, snowboarding, having regular massages, and reading. She practices mindfulness and always aspires to better herself while simultaneously being kind to herself.

jen wokoske, CPT, CHC

Owner, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Health Coach
After many years of restrictive dieting and extreme exercise, Jen knew there must be another way. That’s when she shifted her mindset to health and longevity and a sustainable fitness and nutrition practice focused on lifelong results. Soon after, she left her career in corporate finance to dedicate more time with her family while pursuing fitness, nutrition and her desire to help others. For over 10 years, she has shared this mindset-shift with clients, meeting them where they are to design customized fitness and nutrition programs around their specific personality and lifestyle. She incorporates wellness into her own life by asking her body for no more than she’s willing to give it in return by fueling it with high quality food, daily movement and self care.

Angela Paraskevakos

Licensed Massage Therapist
A resident of Rhode Island since 1992, Angela is incredibly talented in working with a diverse clientele including the elderly and those with physical and intellectual disabilities. As a member of the AMTA, Angela received advanced training in myofascial massage techniques, warm stone massage and cupping. Passionate about providing massage therapy services to all members of our community, she is available to provide services to the elderly in nursing home settings and loves to offer chair massage within the work environment. When not helping her clients, she enjoys hiking and kayaking.

kate dauphinais

Licensed Massage Therapist, Pilates Instructor, Physical Therapist
Kate moved to RI 25 years ago & has spent her career in healthcare/wellness, but recently found her “home” in Therapeutic Massage. She loves hearing clients' excitement when they return to their activities because they feel better, understand their body & know how to help themselves improve their well-being. As an LMT, MPT & Pilates Instructor she integrates techniques with her knowledge of the human body to personalize treatments and educate clients. She specializes in addressing postural, musculoskeletal & neurological issues utilizing traditional/Swedish massage, Neuromuscular Therapy (PNF, stretching, positional release), myofascial release, deep tissue techniques, sports massage, IASTM techniques (cupping, Graston TM), trigger point therapy, Pregnancy & Oncology massage. She is a member of ABMP, AMTA & APPI. As a lifelong learner, Kate strives to create intentional balance in her life. She is currently learning meditation & enjoys listening to music & cooking with her 2 children, hiking with her husband, playing outdoors with her dogs & enjoying food with those she loves. Kate believes in making her part of the world kinder & joyous.

dr. christy SICA-charkowick

Doctor of Acupuncture
Dr. Charkowick graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. There she completed over 3000 hours of clinical experience and interned in 2 hospitals in NYC.  She is licensed in Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York State. Dr Charkowick has been practicing for 12 years, and continues to hone her skills by studying with her mentor, and other masters from China, at the Institute for Classical Asian Studies. She specializes in pain management, sports related injuries, and fertility and hormonal imbalances. Dr. Charkowick also has extensive experience treating post surgical patients. She currently resides in South County with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys all that the outdoors has to offer, and finds such joy in watching her children experience new adventures every single day.

Education: Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine

Certifications: Certified in the NADA Protocol, Facial Rejuvenation ACU and other modalities including cupping and moxibustion

Amy erickson

Esthetician, Cosmetologist & Licensed Tattoo Artist
Amy has been involved in the beauty industry since 2005, when she began working as a Cosmetologist. In 2016, she acquired her Esthetician License while studying in Oregon. Her specialties include powder brows, permanent makeup, waxing, and facials as well as microblading, lip blushing and eyeliner. Her passion and the sole reason why she loves this industry so much, is that it’s ever-changing! She is always ready to grow and learn more so she can bring that knowledge to her clients. It brings her endless joy to help people feel good about themselves. She believes taking care of yourself from the inside out is critical to a well-balanced life.

Melanie Dextradeur

Esthetician
As a Licensed Esthetician for the pasts 15 years, Melanie enjoys helping her clients LOVE their skin! She is not only passionate about providing the services, but finds it extremely special that she can be a small part in educating her clients on how they can properly take care of their skin to see dramatic results.  Her specialties include facials designed for each client’s needs such as, chronic skin conditions (rosacea, acne & signs of aging) and waxing. She incorporates wellness into her life by staying active with her family, exercising regularly and surrounding herself with positive and uplifting people. She’s focused on eating a clean, well-balanced diet and encourages her clients to do so since what you put inside is often what is reflected in your skin. Her big focus? Laugh as much as humanly possible!

Donna Russo

Reiki Master and Yoga Instructor
Donna stepped foot into the world of holistic healing at a young age to cope with her own health issues. Soon after she became a Usui Holy Fire II Reiki Master, Certified Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Instructor, and started an intensive 4 year program for Clinical Herbalism. Donna has many modalities of training and prides herself in offering clients a full spectrum of support and advocacy. Donna creates a beautiful environment for her Reiki sessions as she is known for her calming presence, compassion, and intuitiveness.

Mary-Kathleen (MK) Whitten

Mindfulness Teacher/Consultant
Dedicated, self-motivated, and a highly collaborative team leader, MK is equipped with a broad background working in the mental health and scientific fields. Her integrative approach combines Mindfulness and other therapeutic techniques in her practice. Helping clients learn tactics and techniques to show up to life, “pay attention, and  be the very best version of themselves ” is her passion. She believes being fully present to witness your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judgment can be truly transformative.

MK’s brain-based evidenced approach to teaching and incorporating Mindfulness provides the community the opportunity to incorporate mindfulness in their everyday lives without feeling the pressure to “fit something else in.” MK has been creating and implementing Mindfulness programming, workshops, seminars and presentations for the past five years and believes that Mindfulness can benefit everyone of all ages. MK incorporates wellness into her life by creating the space for being outside in nature whenever possible and enjoys running, strength training, yoga, sports with her family and hiking. She believes Mindfulness allows her to better adapt to any situation and to be more fully present in her interactions with others.

Kate Roberts

Sacred Menstruation Attuning and Holistic Pelvic Care ™
Kate has a background in integrative nutrition, mindful eating, natural movement and herbalism.

Her current passion is helping women discover the wisdom of their wombs. After giving birth to her daughter 8 years ago she gained a new respect for how powerful and sacred the female body is. But she also realized how often women are disconnected from this part of ourselves and how deeply this can impact every aspect of our lives. Kate has spent the last 15 years exploring the holistic healing world and has found her current work with Sacred Menstruation Attuning and Holistic Pelvic Care ™ to be the most transformative of anything she has experienced.

SHELLY MCCONNELL

Pilates Instructor
Shelly has been a group exercise participant for over 30 years, and an instructor for the second half of that time. She has taught a wide variety of fitness classes over the years (step aerobics, hi-lo cardio dance, spin classes, boot camp, interval training, weight/toning  classes, and pilates) at the South County YMCA and Luxe Fitness.  She loves the camaraderie of exercising with a group! As she’s grown older, pilates and yoga are the types of classes she enjoys the most because the exercises really connect body and mind, helping each participant to be their best strong and healthy self.  When you come to Shelly’s class you will notice that she incorporates some alternative toning exercises with the traditional pilates routine and sprinkles in a bit of yoga as well. She will also make an effort to tailor each workout to the clients’ individual needs and goals.  The result is a class that is for all body types and fitness levels.

Children’s Programs
Kathy is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Level 2 Deep Play for Kids certified instructor/teacher. Until recently, she worked in the South Kingstown Public Schools as a special education teacher. Teaching through the pandemic allowed Kathy to enhance her skills as a teacher of social and emotional well-being and she created and taught over 100 lessons in SEL (Social Emotional Learning) for use in the South Kingstown School Community. She is now focusing her time on supporting children’s social and emotional well-being via “Building ME!”, her children’s wellness program. “Building ME!” encompasses many areas of wellness. One focus is SEL which teaches children strategies for successfully interacting with their world, managing daily stressors in mindful, healthy ways, and discovering “their whole, perfect self through the practice of mindful play” (taken from Deep Play for Kids Mission Statement). This kind of learning gives kids the foundation and tools they will need to navigate life in a healthy way.

Kathy is passionate about health and wellness and makes it a priority in her daily life. She loves to cook using fresh, seasonal ingredients. She builds movement and self-care into her days and enjoys gardening, yoga, walking, running, biking, kayaking, skiing, and playing with her dogs, Roscoe and Scooby as well as spending time with the people in her life. She lives in North Kingstown with her husband, John, their two dogs, and their cat. She has two grown children, Emma and Jared. A perfect day for Kathy is spending time with family and friends.
